Blue Devils all-in on nation’s top point guard prospect

Trevon Duval witnessed one of the college’s basketball’s biggest events sitting with players who will play in it next season.

Duval is nearing a decision as to whether or not he’ll join them.

The top point guard in the 2017 class, Duval sat with Duke signees Wendell Carter and Gary Trent Jr. behind the Blue Devils’ bench on Feb. 9 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Together, they watched Duke topple rival North Carolina 86-78 in the latest installment of their fierce, unique rivalry.

The 6-3 Duval is the No. 1 point guard and the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2017 class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s considering Duke, Kansas, Arizona, Baylor and Seton Hall for his college home starting this summer.
