Florida State guard Dwayne Bacon didn’t take long to make up his mind on whether or not he’ll return to Tallahassee for next season. Less than a week after announcing he’d be testing the NBA waters, the freshman revealed via social media that he’ll be back with the Seminoles for his sophomore year:
“After further discussion with my family and looking at my time at Florida State University I have decided to stay in school,” Bacon said via Twitter on Monday. “I am excited about spending another year with my teammates and help us reach our goal of making the NCAA tournament.”
Bacon averaged 15.8 points and 5.8 rebounds as a freshman. The 6-7, 221-pound rookie scored 20 or more points on 12 occasions, including a 24-point effort against Florida during which he hit the game-winning shot, on the way to being named to the All-ACC Freshman Team.
