North Lincoln defensive end Travali Price is the most recent NC State football commit. On Friday evening, the 4-star 2021 pass rusher picked the Pack over Virginia, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Price has great size for a rising senior; 247 Sports slots Price as the No. 23 wide defensive end in the 2021 class. Price rates as the No. 382 prospect nationally in the 2021 cycle, too, per the 247 Sports composite ranking.
Price becomes the 11th commit in NC State’s 2021 recruiting class, and the seventh from the state of North Carolina. Dave Doeren’s 2021 class has really started to come together in recent weeks. Eight of the 2021 commitments have come since the start of May; that includes six in the month of June, alone.
Also, from Friday night: NC State added a commitment from long snapper Jayden Tate, Price’s brother and prep teammate.
However you slice it, this is a great get for the Wolfpack. Price addresses a position of need; defensive linemen are at a premium, and Price is the first at that position to pledge to NC State in 2021. So far, more of the commitments have come on the offensive side of the ball — or in the defensive secondary.
