NC State continues to stay busy on recruiting trail, 3-star S Caden Fordham commits

Things continue to heat up for NC State football on the recruiting trail. On Tuesday night, 3-star safety Caden Fordham became the program’s most recent commit. Fordham, who plays for The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida, is the ninth commit in NC State’s 2021 recruiting class; of that group, six have pledged to the Pack since May 14. That includes three commits over the first two weeks of June, too.

Fordham rates as the No. 63 safety and the No. 816 overall prospect in the college, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

With close to 20 offers, Fordham had plenty of options, including Wake Forest, West Virginia and Miami. However, in the end, he picked NC State over Louisville. Tony Gibson led the recruitment process for NC State.

Fordham is the first commit in NC State’s 2021 recruiting class from the state of Florida. NC State’s 2020 class featured three signees from the Sunshine State. The 2021 group now has commitments from players all around the Southeast, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Florida.
