Dakota Twitty, one of the top wide receivers in the 2022 recruiting class, is set to announce his college choice this week (May 26). Several ACC teams eagerly await that decision; the North Carolina native will choose between Virginia, NC State, Georgia Tech and Yale.
Twitty hails from Mooresboro, N.C., in the southwestern part of the state. Currently, Virginia is viewed as the favorite to the land the 6-foot-5, 215-pound wideout. However, NC State and Georgia Tech are right there. UNC offered Twitty last July, too.
247 Sports pegs Twitty as a top 10 player in the state of North Carolina (2022) and a top 40 wide receiver in the class.
In a recent interview with Brad Franklin of Cavs Corner, Twitty described himself as ready to make a decision.
During his three-year prep career, Twitty has recorded 108 receptions for 1,507 yards (14.0 yards per catch) and 25 touchdowns. He also has five career interceptions.
