3-star dual-threat QB Tahj Bullock commits to Virginia Tech

Tahj Bullock commits to Virginia Tech.

Bullock, a 3-star prospect from Jersey City, rates as the No. 19 dual-threat quarterback in the 2021 class, per 247 Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Bullock, who plays for St. Peters Prep, slots as a top 15 prospect in the state of New Jersey, too.

This is a really nice get for Virginia Tech; last month, 4-star quarterback Dematrius Davis de-committed from the Hokies. Bullock fills a need in the 2021 class. Less than a week after Davis changed his mind on VT, the Hokies offered Bullock.

In the end, Virginia Tech won out over Rutgers and UCLA. Boston College and Syracuse also offered Bullock.

Bullock is the 10th commit in Virginia Tech’s 2021 recruiting class. After some tough de-commitments, including Davis and 4-star receiver Latrell Neville (now a Nebraska lean), Virginia Tech has found some traction on the recruiting trail, though some concerns remain. Since the start of May, though, the Hokies have landed six commitments, including Bullock.

Virginia Tech offensive coordinator Brad Cornelsen, who also coaches the program’s quarterbacks, led the recruitment process. Wide receivers coach Jafar Williams was also involved.
