1 FSU football player tests positive for coronavirus

According to a report in the Orlando Sentinel, four college football players in the state of Florida tested positive for coronavirus. Due to the Health Information Patient Privacy Act (HIPPA), the names of the players won’t be released. Three of the positives tests play for UCF, while the other positive test came from Florida State.

The player Florida State player that tested positive will be isolated and quarantined for two weeks.

Positive test results were bound to pop up as player returned earlier this month for voluntary activities. Players have also tested positive at Alabama, Auburn, Iowa and Oklahoma State.

However, those are just the known variables, for now. As the Miami Herald notes, Miami football coach Manny Diaz didn’t state whether Miami has had any players test positive since reopening the program’s facilities.
