Notre Dame granted safety Eilar Hardy a release so that the rising fifth-year senior can transfer to another school.
Hardy missed the first eight games of the season as part of the academic fraud suspensions. He was able to return to the team for the end of the season. He plans to graduate in May and will be eligible to play immediately for his new school.
