Minnesota native Amir Coffey may be two-and-a-half years away from beginning his college career, but he’s already managed to find his way on the radar of Roy Williams. The 6-5, 170-pound wing has already received interest from the Tar Heels, and the UNC head coach made the trip up north to see him play last week, as reported by Inside Carolina.
The highly touted Coffey holds 5-star status in Scout.com’s recruiting rankings. At this point, the 2016 prospect has received scholarship offers from Creighton, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Miami and Minnesota.
