What can UNC get out of its freshmen in 2015-16?

North Carolina’s 2015 freshman class may not be as flashy as the groups the Tar Heels sign most years.

There are no 5-star recruits. There are no one-and-done candidates. There are no starters, and there’s no sixth man.

If any first-year player for UNC sees significant minutes in the team’s season opener against Temple on Friday night, it will have as much to do with depth issues as anything else.

But while the program’s freshman class of guard Kenny Williams and forward Luke Maye only ranked in the bottom half of the ACC, that doesn’t mean Roy Williams doesn’t expect valuable contributions out of his two rookies.
