North Carolina will host Tulane two times over the next three seasons as part of a three-game basketball series with the Green Wave. Tulane athletic director Rick Dickson announced the news on Wednesday.
The series will begin this year when the Green Wave travels to Chapel Hill on Dec. 16. The second game will be held in New Orleans during the 2016-17 season before UNC hosts Tulane again during its 2017-18 campaign.
The two programs have faced one another on the basketball court 15 times, with the most recent matchup taking place on Dec. 1, 1995 in Charlotte — the Tar Heels claimed an 89-71 victory in that contest. UNC has taken 13 of the last 14 games in the series.
