When North Carolina’s 2014-15 basketball season came to a close, it wasn’t long before the Tar Heels were being mentioned as candidates to head into next year with a No. 1 ranking in preseason polls. With the possibility that all five starters would return, UNC was set to bring back a roster consisting of both talent and promising experience.
That outlook changed a bit when J.P. Tokoto declared for the NBA draft, as the small forward’s departure does create some uncertainty looking ahead.
Still, with or without Tokoto, Roy Williams will enter his 13th season as UNC’s head coach with a Final Four-caliber group.
