North Carolina has been a popular choice for highly touted running backs in recent years, with T.J. Logan, Elijah Hood and Ty’Son Williams all signing with the Tar Heels since 2013. UNC’s coaching staff is hoping that trend continues, and on Tuesday, a top-20 running back from the 2017 recruiting class visited Chapel Hill.
“Enjoyed my time in Chapel Hill! Great to get down and visit,” A.J. Dillon posted on his personal Twitter account.
A native of Groton, Massachusetts, Dillon plays his high school football at Lawrence Academy. The 6-1, 230-pound standout is also being pursued by other ACC schools, including Duke and Virginia.
Dillon is considered the No. 220 overall player in the 2017 class on the 247Sports Composite.
