News broke over the weekend that — after 27 years at Wake Forest — Ron Wellman is set to retire. His replacement as the university’s new director of athletics will be Wake Forest Alum John Currie. Wellman will officially retire on May 1, 2019. A day after Currie was introduced at a Monday press conference, the future head of Wake athletics — who has been the AD at Kansas State and Tennessee — stopped by The David Glenn Show, too.
