As expected, Virginia added a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Dakota Twitty. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound wideout picked Virginia over NC State, Georgia Tech and Yale.
Twitty, who hails from Mooresboro, N.C., is one of the top receivers in the 2022 recruiting class. Twitty is ranked by 247 Sports as a top 10 prospect in the state of North Carolina (2022) and a top 40 wide receiver.
The addition of Twitty now has Virginia’s 2022 class ranked inside the top 35 nationally. It’s early, though. Bronco Mendenhall’s club has only five commits thus far. Twitty, however, is the best of the bunch.
