Veteran WR Emeka Emezie will return to NC State for 2021 season

Emeka Emezie, one of the top skill position players in the ACC, will return to NC State for the 2021 season. Emezie announced his plans on Twitter this afternoon. The 2021 season will be Emezie’s fifth with the program; however, the wideout will take advantage of the NCAA’s free year of eligibility policy due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the 2020 season, Emezie — while working with multiple quarterbacks — led the Wolfpack in receptions (47) and receiving yards (738). Emezie hauled in five touchdown receptions, which, while averaging 15.7 yards per catch.

In his four seasons with NC State, Emezie has 169 receptions for 2.093 yards and 13 touchdown receptions.
