UNC, Mack Brown let go of special teams coach Scott Boone

A UNC Football spokesperson has confirmed that the program has made a change to its coaching staff. Scott Boone, North Carolina’s special teams coordinator and outside linebackers coach, has been let go after one season.

After spending the 2018 season as an offensive analyst for Wake Forest, Boone was hired by UNC in Jan. 2019.

According to Jeremy Sharpe, UNC’s Director of Football Communications, via Inside Carolina: “We will start a national search for a special teams coordinator, who also has experience coaching linebackers, immediately.”
