5. Wake Forest
Dave Clawson continues to churn out success at the smallest Power Five football program. Led by quarterback Sam Hartman, the Demon Deacons won the Atlantic Division and put together one of the best season in program history.
During the 2021 campaign, Hartman, the superstar quarterback, threw for 3,924 yards and 36 touchdowns. Hartman completed 58.8 percent of his pass attempts, while averaging 8.4 yards per attempt. As the point man for one of the most explosive offenses in the FBS, Hartman also ran for 11 touchdowns.
Well, Hartman returns to once again pull the strings one a uniquely challenging offense.
