In his second full recruiting class at NC State, Kevin Keatts has landed the highest-rated recruit of his brief tenure. On Tuesday (Oct. 2), 5-star guard Jalen Lecque committed to NC State.
Taking a page out of Damian Lillard’s playbook, Lecque broke the news on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The 6-foot-4 Lecque, who hails from the Bronx (BX!), plays his prep ball for Brewster Academy (New Hampshire). This, of course, is the same school that helped produced former NC State star and current Phoenix Suns forward T.J. Warren.

Lecque has some roots to the state of North Carolina, though; he previously played at Christ School in Arden, North Carolina.
247 Sports composite ranking slots Lecque as the No. 29 overall player in the 2019 class and the No. 4 combo guard. ESPN has Lecque as No. 22 overall in its top 100 ranking.
Fellow ACC rival Louisville was in the running for Lecque, too. Outside of the league: Oregon, UCLA, TCU, Texas Tech and Tennessee were also in the mix.
