For the second time in less than four weeks, NC State basketball lands a 2018 commitment. This time, it’s another in-state big man: Ian Steere of Wesleyan Christian (High Point).
Four star power forward Ian Steere announces he will play college basketball for NC State. Second player in a month. Manny Bates was the other.

Steere — a four-star power forward — committed to Creighton back in July. In late September, however, the 6-foot-9 Steere backed off that commitment. A week later, he visited NC State. And a week after that, he has pledged to the Wolfpack.
According to 247 Sports: Arkansas, UConn and Clemson were considered, too.
He will join Manny Bates as the second commitment of NC State’s 2018 recruiting class. This gives Kevin Keatts two in-state commits in his first full class.
Keatts and NC State may not be done just yet, though. Four-star small forward Saddiq Bey — another top-100 prospect — is in Raleigh on an official visit this weekend. Another commitment could be on the way for the Wolfpack.
