North Carolina’s hot start to this season coincided with elevated play from junior Joel Berry. However, the Tar Heels might be without their star point guard in their next game.
ESPN’s Andy Katz tweeted Monday that UNC coach Roy Williams is far from certain that Berry will be available for Wednesday night’s contest against Davidson:
UNC's Roy Williams joined us on Courtside podcast today and he said he's not real positive on Joel Berry… https://t.co/S1678BcSPK

Berry left Carolina’s 95-50 win over Radford after suffering a left ankle injury in the second half. He did not return to the game. The Apopa, Fla., native is second on the team in scoring (14.8 points per game) and leads the Carolina in assists (42).
True freshman Seventh Woods saw increased minutes during Berry’s absence on Sunday.
