UNC’s in-state recruiting success continued on Monday when 2017 defensive tackle Xach Gill reportedly pledged to the Tar Heels. The Wake Forest, N.C., standout picked North Carolina over Virginia Tech.
The 247Sports composite listings rank Gill as the No. 15 defensive tackle in his class. Considered the No. 7 senior in North Carolina, he is the fourth top-10 prospect in the state to commit to UNC this cycle.
Gill is the third defensive lineman to join the Heels’ 2017 class, along with end Jake Lawler and tackle Jordon Riley.
