Class of 2017 shooting guard Andrew Platek committed to North Carolina on Monday. He announced the news on his personal Twitter account:

Platek is the second player to pledge to the Tar Heels’ 2017 group, joining combo guard Jalek Felton. A native of Northfield, Mass., Platek is rated a 3-star recruit in the 247Sports composite index.
According to MaxPreps, Platek averaged 11.7 points per game and made 86 of 233 three-point attempts as a junior at Northfields Mount Hermon High School.
