Few teams in the ACC have been as productive offensively as North Carolina the last couple of years. The challenge for Larry Fedora’s teams has been fielding a defense that plays at the same level.
Gradually, UNC has made strides on the defensive side of the ball. Of course, getting premier talent through recruiting is always essential.
The Tar Heels added a potential centerpiece of the defense for years to come when 3-star defensive end Chris Collins of Richmond, Va., committed on Monday. He also held offers from Georgia, Maryland, Michigan State, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and several other schools.
