North Carolina landed a nocturnal commitment when Keeshawn Silver pledged to the Tar Heels late Tuesday night. Silver, a 4-star defensive end from Rocky Mount (NC) High, completed an official campus visit on Tuesday, too.
Inside Carolina was the first to report the story.
The 6-foot-5 Silver is the sixth commit in Mack Brown’s 2021 class; all six of those players hail from inside the state of North Carolina. Silver ranks as the No. 107 overall prospect in the 2021 class, per 247 Sports.

Silver selected North Carolina over a bevy of other powerhouse programs: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Oregon and LSU.
As Brown and UNC look to follow up their strong 2020 recruiting class — Brown’s first full recruiting cycle since returning to Chapel Hill — things are off to a good start.
