Former UNC football coach John Bunting joined The David Glenn Show on Wednesday to discuss the legacy of Bill Dooley. A college coach for 36 years, Dooley’s career included head-coaching stops at North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. He passed away this week at the age of 82.
Bunting, who played for Dooley in college from 1969-71, stated that his former coach revolutionized recruiting the ACC.
“That’s where he really changed the landscape in the ACC — the way he recruited,” Bunting said. “He had a great recruiting staff as well. They worked together.”
