According to Notre Dame, a total of 103 football student-athletes were tested for COVID-19 on July 1. Of that group of test, all were 103 tested negative, per University Physician Dr. Matt Leiszler.
So far, Notre Dame has administered 251 total COVID-19 tests for athletes and staff; the process started back in June. As of this moment, only one player has tested positive for the coronavirus. That positive result came on June 18. Notre Dame notes that this player recovered and is make to practicing with the team.

Back on June 22, Notre Dame began voluntary off-season workouts. In a little over two weeks from now — July 24 — Notre Dame will be (potentially) ready for on-field football activities.
