Former UNC star and Tar Heel Sports Network radio analyst Eric Montross joined the David Glenn Show this week to discuss North Carolina’s run to the Sweet 16, as well as UNC’s prospects in the West Regionals this week in Los Angeles.
Montross knows a thing or two about winning in the NCAA Tournament, as he helped lead the Tar Heels to a pair of Final Fours in 1991 and 1993, as well as the 1993 national championship.
A two-time All-American at UNC, Montross went on to play eight seasons in the NBA (1994-1995 to 2001-2002) with six franchises, including the Boston Celtics, New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, and Toronto Raptors. Montross joined the Tar Heel Sports Network in 2006, and has become a prominent member of the Chapel Hill community, as well as a fixture at Tar Heel games.
