3-star LB Dylan Hazen commits to Wake Forest; 2021 class up to 17 commits

Dylan Hazen becomes the 17th commit in Wake Forest’s 2021 recruiting class, which ranks inside the top 45 nationally.

On Monday, the 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker committed to Wake Forest over Arizona and Illinois. Washington State and Kansas State were also in the mix. 247 Sports ranks Hazen as the No. 32 inside linebacker in the 2021 class.

The story was first reported by Les Johns of 247 Sports.

Despite hailing from The Woodlands in Texas, Hazen has plenty of family ties to the Carolinas; his parents me while undergrads at Clemson.

According to Johns, while on a family trip last month, Hazen was able to stop by Wake Forest’s campus — a notable development for the Demon Deacons amid college football’s recruiting dead period.
