Louisville men’s basketball last played a week ago — a Monday afternoon (Feb. 1) win over Georgia Tech. However, the Cards will continue to wait before they’re able to hit the floor again. During a season that’s been constantly hit with COVID-19 cases, the ACC announced on Sunday that Wednesday’s Louisville-Pitt game (Feb. 10) has been postponed.
Us usual, the postponement follows additional positive tests, along with subsequent quarantining and contact tracing within the Louisville program
Additionally, head coach Chris Mack has contracted COVID-19; according to a release from the university, he’s experiencing mild symptoms. When Louisville plays at Virginia Tech on Saturday — assuming that game goes off without a hitch — Mack will be absent. Veteran assistant coach Dino Gaudio will replace Mack.
Cardinals also announce that Coach Chris Mack has contracted COVID-19 and will miss team's next scheduled game, Saturday at #Hokies. Assistant Dino Gaudio will lead Louisville in Mack's absence. https://t.co/UNeWuA0jCH
