King Joseph Edwards is one of the top overall prospects in the 2024 recruiting class. The 6-foot-5, 242-pound tight end/defensive end ranks as a Top 15 prospect for the 2024 cycle, per 247 Sports.
Currently, Edwards is on an unofficial visit to NC State, which has an offer extended to the blue-chip prospect. When Edwards visited Miami two weeks back, the Hurricanes extended an offer, too.

However, it’ll be tough to pry Edwards away from the Georgia Bulldogs, the current overwhelming favorites to land KGE.
Georgia, the defending national champs, are one of the sport’s true “It” programs. Kirby Smart has built a recruiting juggernaut in Athens. Plus, the Bulldogs have a distinct location advantage: Edwards is an in-state prospect, hailing from Buford.
KGE’s trip north to Raleigh occurs during a busy recruiting week/weekend for NC State. This stretch includes a visit from 5-star 2024 wide receiver Jonathan Paylor, another Top 20 prospect in the same recruiting class.
Alabama and Texas A&M, two other recruiting powers, have also extended scholarship offers to Edwards.
Edwards wasn’t alone with his visit to NC State, though. Two of his teammates at Buford — 5-star 2024 athlete KJ Bolden and 2024 athlete Jaylen Neal — were in Raleigh, too.
