North Carolina running back Elijah Hood announced on Dec. 22 that he will return to Chapel Hill for his senior season in 2017. According to a report by CBS Sports, that decision might not be final:

Hood was a first-team All-ACC selection in 2015 after rushing for 1,463 yards and 17 touchdowns. Injuries hampered the 6-0, 220-pound rusher this fall as those numbers dipped to 858 yards and eight scores.
Hood played in 11 contests this season. He sat out a 34-3 loss to Virginia Tech on Oct. 8 with a concussion and missed the team’s 25-23 Sun Bowl loss to Stanford for undisclosed medical reasons.
