Larry Fedora talks UNC quarterbacks with The David Glenn Show

North Carolina football coach Larry Fedora dropped by The David Glenn Show on Wednesday to talk about UNC’s upcoming spring game, the attitude within the program and the team’s quarterback situation.

Junior Mitch Trubisky entered the spring as the front-runner to win the starting quarterback job, but the Tar Heel coach acknowledged that he’s pleased with what he’s seen from all of his quarterbacks.

“We’ve had some great competition there,” Fedora said. “One thing about it, Mitch is very comfortable in what he’s doing, but Caleb Henderson and Nathan Elliott and Logan Byrd — the guys that are on campus right now competing on a daily basis are pushing each other.”

Despite the competition, Fedora said that Trubisky still stands out.

“Mitch is probably ahead of everybody,” the head coach stated. “There’s no doubt about that, because he should be. He’s the most comfortable. He’s played in meaningful games. He’s made plays in meaningful games.”
