With Day 2 of the 2022 ACC Tournament set to start up, it’s worth reassessing where things stand with several ACC teams battling on The Bubble.
Wake Forest has the ACC Player of the Year (Alondes Williams) and Coach of the Year (Steve Forbes). It’s been an incredible 2021-22 season in Winston-Salem; however, the Deacs have just one Quad 1 victory.
This team absolutely passes the eye test; with Williams and Jake LaRavia, Wake Forest has a super dangerous 1-2 punch, too. There’s still a little work left to be done, though.

- Bracket Projection: Wake Forest currently slots as an 11-seed, per Bracket Matrix. As long as the Demon Deacons don’t slip vs. Boston College, they’re probably fine. Of course, if victorious, Wake Forest could see resume-building opportunities vs. Miami and Duke.
