4-star RB Kamarro Edmonds commits; UNC adds to stacked 2021 class

This will sound like a broken record, but Mack Brown did it again. On Friday evening, UNC landed another high-profile commitment: 4-star running back Kamarro Edmonds.

Another in-state prospect, Edmonds plays his prep ball for talent rich Havelock (N.C.) High; he’s labeled a top-10 player in the state of North Carolina and a top-150 prospect nationally in the 2021 class, per 247 Sports.

During the 2019 season, Edmonds ran for 1,402 yards and 17 touchdowns, per Inside Carolina. He also snagged two touchdown receptions, too. Edmonds picked UNC over offers from Louisville, Missouri, South Carolina, NC State, Tennessee and Wake Forest.

With a commitment from Edmonds, the Tar Heels now have 12 commits (10 4-star recruits) in their 2021 class, which now ranks No. 3 nationally.

Of that group of 12, only one hails from outside the state of North Carolina. Edmonds also becomes the fifth top-10 in-state 2021 prospect to commit to UNC, too.
