Over the weekend, NC State football landed a major 2021 commitment: 4-star athlete Jordan Poole, one of the top in-state prospects.
Last than a week after tweeting out that a decision would come soon, the 6-foot, 225-pound Poole picked the Pack. Poole, who plays for West Stanly High School in Oakboro, ranks as the No. 4 prospect in the state of North Carolina (No. 63 overall), according to 247 Sports.
NC State’s 2021 recruiting class — with 17 commitments — is now up to No. 33 in 2021 team rankings. Of those 17 commits, nine are from the state of North Carolina, including Poole.

Earlier this summer, back in June, Poole narrowed his list of schools to three: NC State, Virginia Tech and South Carolina. Other ACC programs — Florida State, Duke, Virginia, Louisville and Boston College — also made offers. The Wolfpack, however, won out in the end.
Poole, who plays with phenomenal speed and defensive instincts, projects as an outside linebacker in NC State’s defensive system.
