Chase Hattley, one of the top defensive backs in the 2021 recruiting class, has narrowed his list of schools down to three. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound safety will choose between NC State, South Carolina and Oklahoma.
For NC State, Hattley is a local prospect; he plays his prep football for Panther Creek in Cary, North Carolina. 247 Sports ranks Hattley as the No. 22 safety in the 2021 class and a top-20 overall prospect in North Carolina.

Defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Tony Gibson has led the recruitment process for the Wolfpack.
With 18 commitments, NC State’s 2021 class currently ranks 33rd nationally, per 247 Sports. Of that group of 18, 10 prospects hail from inside of the NC borders.
Predictions on where Hattley will end up are a little scattered; there’s a split between NC State and South Carolina, in the minds of recruiting experts.
