After the Deacons recently received two commitments from linebackers in the class of 2017, here’s an update on some other defensive prospects the coaching staff is targeting.
The class of 2016 featured several safeties, but only one cornerback, so the Deacons have been working hard on a number of highly rated corners for 2017.
Coach Dave Clawson’s latest offer was to Meshael Custis, a 6-2, 175-pounder out of Hampton, Ga. Custis is ranked No. 47 consensus at cornerback, and he has a slew of offers from ACC, SEC and Big 10 schools.
