Tom Haberstroh, an NBA analyst for ESPN.com, joined The David Glenn Show on Tuesday to talk NBA playoffs and to weigh in on Wake Forest bringing in Danny Manning as its new head basketball coach. As a Demon Deacon alumnus, Haberstroh was a fan of the hire.
“I think Danny Manning will be needed as a guy at Wake Forest who can recruit and have enough command in the room to get the big-name players,” Haberstroh said. “When you’re going against the Duke Blue Devils and the UNC Tar Heels, these are the programs that are going to get the best players in the state, in the region and the country.”
Haberstroh also said that he believed Jeff Bzdelik is a great basketball coach but didn’t see him as the right fit in Winston-Salem. Click below to hear the full interview.
