Manning Sees ACC Putting 10 in NCAA Tournament in Future

Second-year Wake Forest coach Danny Manning said he feels about the same amount of preseason jitters as he did a year ago. When the tallest head coach in the ACC sat down with David Glenn at ACC Operation Basktball in Charlotte, though, he also revealed what was different about his practices last season

“It was a lot of technique, a lot of attention to detail, a lot of ‘this is why we do this,'” Manning explained.

This season, the team came in with a more base understanding of Manning’s offensive and defensive philosophies, and older players are now able to help coach new ones.

Manning discussed his team’s non-conference schedule, recruiting, the strength of the ACC — which he believes will soon get 10 teams into the NCAA Tournament — and more about the upcoming season. Listen to the full interview below:
