Malcolm Askew has long been a big name in the 2017 recruiting class, and last Friday, Virginia reached out to the junior athlete with a scholarship offer. Askew announced the news via his personal Twitter account, stating it was his 40th offer.
The 6-0, 175-pound prospect plays safety and receiver for McAdory High School in McCalla, Alabama. He also claimed an offer from Duke last Thursday.
Askew is considered the No. 121 overall player in the 2017 class on the 247Sports Composite.
