With no assurance that coach Mike London will be back in 2016, Virginia continued to set a torrid pace in recruiting, taking its 27th commitment Sunday from 6-4, 225-pound defensive end Osiris Crutchfield from nearby Western Albemarle.
UVa earlier identified five committed players who will be enrolling in January, meaning they can count toward UVa’s 2015 scholarship limit. They are place-kicker Holland Corbett from Western Albemarle by way of Fork Union Military Academy; linebacker Kenneth Ruff from Lakeland, Fla.; tight end Christian Baumgardner from Ocean City, N.J.; running back Tre Harbison form Shelby, N.C., and linebacker Matt Terrell from Lynchburg, Va.
