Two Virginia offensive linemen will miss the 2015 season, head coach Mike London announced on Monday. Tackle Jake Fieler and center Eric Tetlow, who both missed Saturday’s 34-16 loss at UCLA with undisclosed injuries, have each undergone surgery and will not return to the field this fall.
A redshirt freshman from Parkersburg, West Virginia, Fieler was listed as a starter at right tackle on the team’s post-spring depth chart. After seeing action in five games as a true freshman in 2013, Tetlow redshirted last fall and was injured this past spring.
London also announced Monday that junior offensive guard Ryan Doull is expected to return to the field this season. Doull played in UVa’s first seven games last year, starting six, before missing the last five contests with injury. He did not play against the Bruins on Saturday.
