According to multiple reports, Virginia landed its fourth basketball commitment of the 2016 cycle on Thursday when Durham, North Carolina, power forward Jay Huff pledged to the Cavaliers. He is the first player in his class to commit to the Wahoos since power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones did so in January.
Huff is rated a 4-star recruit and considered the No. 87 overall player in his class by Scout.com. According to MaxPreps, Huff averaged 16.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game as a junior at Voyager Academy.
With Huff on board, UVa has four times as many 2016 commitments as any other school in the ACC. The Cavaliers’ class is ranked No. 1 in the country on the 247Sports Composite.
