For the 97th consecutive year, North Carolina and N.C. State will face one another on the baseball diamond. The streak was in jeopardy after the rivals’ lone regular-season matchup was cancelled due to bad weather and scheduling conflicts, but as seeding positions unfolded over the weekend, the No. 7-seeded Tar Heels and No. 10-seeded Wolfpack ended up falling into a play-in game.
The game is set for 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday in Greensboro, N.C., and while there won’t be as many fans attending as there were in the last few games between the two, it’ll be one of the most highly anticipated contests of the season for both.
