NC State has dramatically improved its in-state recruiting the past couple of years under Dave Doeren, as the Wolfpack are consistently getting more prospects within the borders of North Carolina to take a look at NCSU under his watch than his predecessor, Tom O’Brien.
The Wolfpack made a strong move earlier this year for one of North Carolina’s top linebackers in the class of 2017, and now it appears that NCSU may be in the lead for Rocky Mount High junior defensive standout Sherrod Greene.
NCSU extended a scholarship offer to Greene in March, during a flurry of early spring offers to various 2016 and 2017 prospects.
