NC State recruiting shorts–No Greek for Pack

NO GREEK FOR STATE

NC State’s pursuit of Georgios Papagiannis fell short. The 4-star center from Greece decided to stay in Europe and pursue a professional career rather than attending college in the United States. State, Kentucky and St. John’s were believed to be the leaders to land Papagiannis. Papagiannis was on the under-19 national team for Greece this year. He’ll play in Europe and hopes to enter the 2016 NBA Draft.

JORDAN TUCKER GETS STATE OFFER

4-star small forward Jordan Tucker, a 6-7, 200-pounder in the class of 2017, received an offer from NC State, according to a report by The Recruit Scoop. Tucker, who plays for White Plains (NY) Senior High and the New York Lightning summer team, also has offers from Syracuse, UConn, Oklahoma and Indiana. Wake Forest has offered him, and UNC and Miami have both shown interest without yet extending an offer.

NC STATE OFFERS DIAKITE

The Wolfpack hope to keep the Team Loaded pipeline to Raleigh open. Current and former NC State players, including the Martin twins, Tyler Lewis, and Shaun Kirk, all came to the Pack from the AAU powerhouse. The latest NC State offer to Team Loaded goes to class of 2016 big man Mamadi Diakite. The 6-9, 180-pound 4-star power forward out of Dyke, Virginia. Diakite already has offers from Louisville, Miami, Syracuse and Virginia in the ACC.
