Linebacker Raven Saunders, rated three stars, the No. 19 inside linebacker nationally among juniors and the No. 76 prospect in the 2017 class in Florida, made a verbal commitment to N.C. State over the weekend. He formerly played for Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Fla, but he has transferred to Dwyer High School in the winter.

Saunders, listed at 6-1, 215 pounds, reported offers from Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Temple. He made an unofficial visit to NCSU on April 1-3, during which he announced his pledge. He gives the Pack five verbal commitments in the 2017 class.
