Lennard Freeman suffers broken leg

From NC State Sports Information

RALEIGH – Lennard Freeman, who will be a junior this season on the NC State men’s basketball team, recently underwent successful surgery to heal a fracture in his lower right leg.

Freeman will rehab under the supervision of NC State sports medicine and team doctor personnel. He is expected to resume full basketball activity in 3-4 months.

The surgery was performed on June 3 in Raleigh by Dr. Robert Wyker.

Freeman, a 6-8 forward from Washington, D.C., started 21 games last season for the Wolfpack and led the team with 5.6 rebounds per game. His double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds in NC State’s win over Villanova helped the Pack earn a berth to the Sweet 16.
