When Brad Brownell leads Clemson onto the Joel Coliseum court on Saturday, he’ll be riding high. Although he’ll be without injured star Donte Grantham, the Tigers are 18-4 and No. 16 in the Ken Pomeroy rankings.

Brownell’s in his eighth year at Clemson, and his tenure hasn’t been always been this successful. In fact, he’s been on the hot seat more than once. But generally, his teams have remained competitive.

Because of that, Brownell presents an interesting “what if” for Wake Forest fans.
